Kitchen - Cooking Tip of the Month
Since this is grill season I thought you might like to have this great tip. In order to keep your meat moist:
- Never salt the meat, pork, or chicken until just before you put it on the grill. Anytime you add salt early it will pull the moisture out it. Salt, when added right before cooking, will actually help to hold the moisture in.
- Never poke your meat, pork, or chicken with a fork or knife. This too will let the moisture drain out. Instead always use tongs for putting it on the grill, turning it over, and serving.
